Hello!

I am Mel

And welcome to my humble studio.

This all began with a seemingly harmless box of Crayola crayons.

It was an honorary birthday gift from Mum.

You see, I just turned 4. *hair flip*

I was one year away from being half a double-digit, and that means, I should be entitled to some form of official writing equipment, like the one Pa carries around in his shirt pocket.

Mum barred me from color pencils. She said they were sharp and dangerous. So I guess, the best next thing would be those wax crayons.

Little did she know that those wax crayons were equally as deadly.

*smirk*

Note to self: Never leave a 4-year old with a box of crayons.

My eyes dazzled.

I was opened up to a whole new world,

and the young Aries in me, poured all her emotion into drawing, on practically anything.

It turned Mom’s life upside down, as she watched her carefully selected furniture destroy, one by one, in a matter of months.

But I am all grown up now and have learned that my mom’s furniture is no longer canvas.

Instead, I have expanded it,

so,

here it is!
